Mounther Al Sabbagh

Head of Investments


As Head of Investments, Mounther Al Sabbagh is responsible for the sourcing, market planning and execution of First Bahrain’s development opportunities. He is also responsible for shaping the Company’s investment strategy and managing strategic relationships with investment partners.

With a distinguished investment banking career spanning 10-years, Mounther has held various management positions at Orion Capital Partners, Shamil Bank and Taib Bank. Prior to joining First Bahrain, Mounther served as Director of Corporate Finance at Orion Capital Partners W.L.L., a Bahrain based financial advisory firm.

Prior to his role at Orion, he served as a senior member of Shamil Bank’s Investment Banking department where he managed the Bank’s various U.S. and European real estate investment portfolios. At Taib Bank’s Corporate Finance department, Mounther was engaged in management of the Bank’s pre-acquisition activities with respect to private equity transactions in the US, India and the Middle East.

Mounther holds a B.A. from Clark University, Massachusetts, USA (www.clarku.edu).

He is married and has two sons.
