First Bahrain appoints MGAE for Seef Project
First Bahrain Real Estate Development Co. today announced the appointment of Mohammed Al Gharib Architects & Engineers (MGAE) to design their upcoming new project in Seef.
Building on the success of El Mercado, First Bahrain’s mixed-use retail and residential project, the company is now activating its holdings in Seef area another open air commercial project. The new development will offer over 40,000 square feet of premium retail space, built on 78,878 square foot plot of land just across the street from the City Centre Mall. Designed to serve the surrounding residential area, the site will feature a mix of cafes, restaurants, entertainment, and retail shops that will offer a unique experience through a mix of drive up and drive thru outlets.
“We were impressed with MGAE’s unique blend of expertise and their creative approach to our project. Always having an eye for opportunities, we identified a need for a complementary retail centre with an emphasis on convenience with consideration for the needs of the residents of the surrounding community. MGAE took the design elements of this project to a new level and we are eager to see this project come to life,” stated Amin Al Arrayed, Chief Executive Officer of First Bahrain.
“We are very happy to be partnering up with First Bahrain on their new project in Seef. Our team of professionals constantly thrives to explore creative opportunities within each project we undertake and we’re quite pleased with the progress of the design thus far. Our approach will deliver a superior project with services that will hopefully complement the area,” shared Mohammed Al Gharib, Managing Director of MGAE.
Located along Road 2819, in between a group of new residential towers, the project will provide up to 26 units ranging in size from 320 to 15,600 square feet of leasable area. The offerings will include food & beverage, an anchor supermarket, entertainment, and services. Two of the units will offer drive-thru facilities. Leasing inquiries for the prime units are now being received by the sales team at First Bahrain. Project construction is expected to begin this summer with completion due by the end of 2019.
